Job Description
Structural Steel Welder, Temporary Contract, Coatbridge, £18.41 per hour
Benefits

* Workshop-based role involving large-scale structural steel fabrication.
Responsibilities
* Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am–2:30pm. Breaks include 20 minutes unpaid and 30 minutes paid.
* Fabricate structural steel beams within a busy workshop environment.
* Carry out MIG welding to a high standard.
* Work with structural steel components ranging from approximately 0.5 tonnes to 100 tonnes.
* Read, interpret and work accurately from detailed Tekla drawings and technical specifications.
* Ensure fabricated components meet required quality and project standards.
* Follow safe working practices and maintain a clean, organised workshop environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience in MIG welding
* Previous experience fabricating structural steel beams.
* Ability to confidently read and interpret Tekla drawings.
* Strong understanding of detailed engineering and fabrication drawings.
* Experience working with heavy structural steel is highly desirable.
* Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
* Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a workshop team
