What You'll Be Doing As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and installing ship components while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and productivity. Manual Metal Arc (MMA) MIG Welding Automatic & Semi-Automatic Welding (Submerged Arc & KAT) Resistance Welding (Stud Welding)Working from welding procedures, manufacturing instructions and technical drawings Producing high-quality, right-first-time work that contributes to successful ship construction Using air and electric power tools safely and effectively Collaborating with supervisors, apprentices and other trades to overcome production challenges Essential Requirements ? Proven FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) experience - essential ? Ability to weld in multiple positions using a variety of consumables ? Valid welding qualifications and trade papers ? Strong understanding of:
