The Opportunity
Talent Agri is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded agricultural business for a Welfare & Camp Co-ordinator to join their team in the South of England.
This is a varied, people-focused position combining worker welfare, accommodation management, HR support, payroll administration and general administration.
The successful candidate will support workers from their initial arrival and induction through to their day-to-day welfare and accommodation requirements.
The role will also involve HR, payroll and administrative responsibilities, including maintaining accurate worker records, processing starter and leaver documentation, supporting payroll information and ensuring relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, approachable, organised and confident working with people from different backgrounds, while also being comfortable with the practical elements of managing worker accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome workers and support the arrival and induction process
- Act as a key point of contact for day-to-day worker welfare matters
- Support workers with general queries and practical requirements
- Assist with the day-to-day management of worker accommodation
- Carry out regular checks of accommodation and welfare facilities
- Ensure accommodation is prepared appropriately for new arrivals
- Maintain accurate accommodation and occupancy records
- Help resolve welfare and accommodation issues professionally
- Support HR administration and employee documentation
- Maintain accurate starter and leaver records
- Assist with payroll information and working-hour records
- Support National Insurance, right-to-work and relevant worker documentation
- Maintain accurate reports, records and administrative paperwork
- Communicate effectively with management, HR, payroll and operational teams
- Support the organisation of communal and accommodation areas
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within farming, agriculture or horticulture
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- Open, friendly and approachable personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Practical, hands-on attitude
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Good IT and record-keeping skills
- Full UK Driving Licence – essential
Previous experience supporting an international workforce, HR administration, payroll or accommodation management would be advantageous.
