Well Integrity Engineer - Remote Assurance Specialist

About the Role

Our client, a respected name in the oil and gas industry , is seeking a meticulous Well Integrity Engineer to join their dedicated team, working entirely remotely from anywhere in the UK . This critical role ensures the safety, reliability, and environmental compliance of wells throughout their lifecycle. You will develop and implement well integrity management systems, conduct risk assessments, and provide technical assurance for well operations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage well integrity management systems (WIMS) in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and barrier management for wells, identifying potential failure modes and mitigation strategies.
• Review and approve well design, completion, and workover programs from an integrity perspective.
• Analyze well integrity data, including pressure tests, monitoring logs, and inspection reports.
• Provide technical guidance and support to field operations and engineering teams on well integrity matters.
• Investigate well integrity incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in well integrity engineering or a related role within the oil and gas sector .
• In-depth knowledge of well construction, completion, and abandonment principles.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 16530-1, API RP series) and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
