About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent Well Integrity Engineer to join their asset integrity team in Sheffield . This role is critical for ensuring the long-term safety and reliability of wells throughout their lifecycle. You will be responsible for developing and implementing well integrity management systems, monitoring well performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Working closely with drilling, production, and maintenance teams, you will identify potential risks and implement preventative measures to maintain well integrity and prevent leaks or failures. This is a hands-on, site-focused role critical to operational safety and environmental protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement well integrity management systems (WIMS) in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Plan and oversee well integrity testing programs, including pressure testing and monitoring.
- Analyze well data to assess wellbore condition, identify potential risks, and recommend interventions.
- Manage and review casing and cement evaluation data.
- Respond to and investigate well integrity issues or failures, recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe and effective well operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in well integrity engineering or a related field within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of well components, subsurface operations, and well construction principles.
- Proficiency in well integrity software and data analysis tools.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies related to well integrity.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and compliance.
