Well Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Well Integrity Engineer to join their specialist team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK , supporting their extensive Oil & Gas operations. This role is paramount in ensuring the safety, environmental protection, and efficiency of all wells throughout their lifecycle. You will be responsible for developing and implementing well integrity strategies, monitoring well performance, and ensuring compliance with rigorous industry standards and regulations, offering a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive well integrity management systems (WIMS) in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular reviews of well integrity data, including pressure tests, PBU data, and barrier testing results.
• Identify potential risks to well integrity, such as casing/tubing leaks, packer failures, and surface equipment issues, and develop mitigation plans.
• Oversee well integrity assurance activities, including audits and performance monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance and support to drilling, completions, and operations teams on all well integrity matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in well integrity engineering , with a strong focus on the Oil & Gas industry .
• Thorough understanding of well construction, completion, and intervention principles.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and guidelines for well integrity (e.g., API, IOGP).
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong reporting capabilities.
