Workshop Forklift Engineer - Sheffield

Job Title: Forklift Engineer

Location: Sheffield (depot based)

Basic Salary: £28,000-£32,000

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

We are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join the team at our Sheffield depot.

This is a hands‑on workshop position within a busy team, so we are looking for someone who is confident working independently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining a hire fleet of forklifts.
• Carrying out LOLER inspections and associated checks.
• Diagnosing and completing repairs and maintenance work.
• Working primarily on Combilift equipment.
• Ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard and is ready for hire.
• Working independently and managing your workload effectively.
• Supporting the wider workshop team as required.

Experience you will need:

• Previous engineering experience working with forklifts, plant machinery or HGVs.
• Mechanical and fault‑finding skills.
• Experience carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance.
• LOLER inspection experience would be beneficial.
• The ability to work independently without requiring significant supervision.
• A practical, hands‑on approach and a strong focus on quality and safety.

Your Package:

Basic Salary: £28,000-£32,000

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday‑Friday (40hrs)

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x, although there is currently no regular overtime available.
