About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to lead their automotive repair team in Wolverhampton . This is a hands-on role where you will not only manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop but also contribute to repairs and diagnostics. You will be responsible for ensuring workflow efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and providing technical guidance to your team. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of automotive technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of jobs.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the workshop team, assisting with complex diagnostics and repairs.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest quality standards, adhering to safety protocols and manufacturer specifications.
- Manage workshop resources, including tools, equipment, and inventory, ensuring they are well-maintained and available.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing professional and effective resolutions.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs for workshop staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a qualified Automotive Technician with several years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills across a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage workshop operations, including scheduling, workflow, and quality control.
- A valid UK driving licence is essential.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is required.
