Workshop Technician

Workshop Technician – Winchester £26,436–£28,000 DOE | Permanent | 40 hours FOUR days a week - Monday to Thursday 6am - 4.30pm We are recruiting for a Workshop Technician to join an established engineering business based in Winchester. This is a hands-on workshop position suited to someone with practical engineering or manufacturing experience who enjoys variety and is comfortable working with machinery, tools and technical drawings. The role will support the production of the company’s equipment and will involve a broad mix of workshop activities including machining, welding, fabrication, cutting, equipment testing and quality inspection. You will also be responsible for working accurately from engineering drawings and tolerances, supporting goods-in and stock activities, packing finished products for dispatch and completing associated workshop documentation. • A technical qualification or relevant practical engineering experience
• Previous experience using workshop equipment, tools and machinery
• Ability to read and work accurately from engineering drawings
• A good understanding of Health & Safety
• Someone proactive, self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative
• A flexible approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• An engineering apprenticeship would be advantageous
• Some electrical wiring knowledge would also be beneficial Package Salary: £26,436–£28,000 depending on experience Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday Holiday: 25 days per year Contract: Permanent Location: Winchester
