General Description
Newcastle University is offering a fully funded PhD studentship under the reference WRII2601, focused on advancing research in water resilience and infrastructure innovation. The successful candidate will undertake an interdisciplinary research project that explores innovative approaches to enhancing the resilience, efficiency, and sustainability of water infrastructure systems. Eligibility Criteria
A minimum of a 2:1 honours degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources, or a related field
A master’s degree in a relevant subject is desirable but not essential
Applicants should meet Newcastle University’s English language requirements where applicable
Demonstrated interest in water systems, infrastructure, and sustainability research
Required Expertise/Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Interest in interdisciplinary research and environmental challenges
Ability to undertake independent research and manage a long-term project
Effective written and verbal communication skills
