Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Yard Operative to join a well established and busy business in Gloucester if you have previous yard experience, hold a valid forklift licence, and have the confidence to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Shift Details:

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 07:00 - 16:00
• No weekend work

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving stock and materials around the yard
• Serving customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Understanding customer requirements and assisting them in selecting suitable products
• Picking customer orders accurately
• Organising and maintaining stock within the yard
• Assisting with goods in and goods out processes
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures
• Supporting with general yard duties as required

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
• Previous Yard Operative experience (essential)
• Experience in a customer facing environment
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Reliable, hardworking, and punctual
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
