About the Role
Our client is seeking a certified and inspiring Yoga Instructor to lead engaging classes at their wellness studio in the vibrant city of Glasgow . This role requires a deep understanding of various yoga styles, a compassionate approach to teaching, and the ability to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for practitioners of all levels. You will play a key role in fostering a sense of community and promoting holistic well-being through mindful movement and breathwork, contributing to the studio's reputation as a sanctuary for peace and personal growth in Glasgow .
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality yoga classes catering to different levels and styles (e.g., Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative).
- Create a safe, inclusive, and calming environment for all participants.
- Provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and modifications to accommodate individual needs.
- Guide students in breathwork (pranayama) and meditation techniques.
- Build rapport with students, encouraging consistency and offering personalized feedback when appropriate.
- Maintain studio cleanliness and prepare the space before and after each class.
Requirements
- Recognized Yoga Teacher Training certification (e.g., RYT 200 or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching yoga classes in a studio or gym setting.
- In-depth knowledge of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and safe alignment principles.
- Excellent communication, observation, and cueing skills.
- Ability to adapt classes based on student needs and energy levels.
- A calm, encouraging, and professional demeanour suitable for a Glasgow wellness studio.
