Key Responsibilities

• Engage with young people in various settings, building positive and trusting relationships.
• Provide guidance and support on issues such as education, employment, health, and personal development.
• Facilitate group activities and workshops designed to enhance life skills and social interaction.
• Identify potential risks and safeguarding concerns, responding appropriately according to established procedures.
• Signpost young people to relevant external agencies and services when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, activities, and outcomes in accordance with organizational policies.

Requirements

• Experience working with young people in a support, educational, or youth work setting.
• Understanding of adolescent development and common issues faced by young people.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to engaging with youth.
• Willingness to undergo relevant training and background checks for this role in the West Midlands .
