1:1 Secondary Tutor - Chester

Location: Chester

Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Prospero Teaching are looking for a motivated 1:1 Secondary Tutor to provide personalised educational support to a learner in Chester.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, establish a strong rapport with the learner and create structured lessons that respond to their individual academic needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 secondary tuition
• Plan lessons around individual targets
• Support learners across core subjects
• Adapt resources and teaching methods
• Build confidence and encourage positive engagement
• Help the learner develop effective study habits
• Monitor and report on progress

Requirements

• Previous experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners
• Strong subject knowledge
• Experience delivering 1:1 support desirable
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Patient and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to Work in the UK
• Two professional child-related references
