We are working with a welcoming primary school in Wolverhampton that is seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a pupil and help them thrive both academically and socially.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with previous school-based experience who is passionate about supporting children's individual learning needs and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The Role

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day. Support the pupil's learning, engagement and progress in line with the class teacher's planning. Help implement individual learning strategies and activities tailored to the pupil's needs. Encourage positive behaviour, independence and social development. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team to ensure consistent support. Adapt your approach to help the pupil access learning and participate in classroom activities. Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working in a school setting is essential. Has experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis or working with pupils who require additional support. Is patient, nurturing and confident building positive relationships with children. Demonstrates strong communication skills and a proactive approach. Can work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff. Is reliable, flexible and committed to supporting pupils' individual needs.
