5G Network Deployment Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated 5G Network Deployment Specialist to join their innovative, fully remote team, serving the Leeds region and beyond. This role is central to the rollout and operationalization of advanced 5G mobile networks. You will be responsible for the technical planning, execution, and integration of 5G infrastructure components, ensuring seamless deployment and optimal performance. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the deployment of 5G RAN (Radio Access Network) and core network elements.
• Conduct site surveys, integration, and commissioning of new 5G base stations and related equipment.
• Perform performance testing, optimization, and troubleshooting of 5G network components.
• Collaborate with vendors, project managers, and field technicians to ensure timely and successful deployments.
• Develop and execute test plans for new software releases and hardware upgrades.
• Provide technical support and expertise for 5G network issues and escalations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mobile network deployment, with a strong focus on 5G technologies .
• In-depth understanding of RAN architecture (e.g., gNB, CU, DU), including Open RAN principles.
• Familiarity with 4G LTE technologies and their integration with 5G networks.
• Experience with network simulation and performance analysis tools.
• Knowledge of IP networking, security, and cloud technologies relevant to mobile networks.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing deployment challenges in a remote setting .
