Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of academic buildings, including laboratories, lecture halls, libraries, and student facilities.
- Engage with university departments, faculty, and research teams to understand specific project requirements.
- Develop design concepts that support cutting-edge research and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Ensure designs comply with specific academic facility standards and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with specialist consultants and manage project delivery within the university context.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Architect with significant experience in designing for the academic or research sectors.
- Demonstrated understanding of the operational needs of universities and research institutions.
- Proficiency in Revit and experience with BIM for complex facilities.
- Ability to manage client relationships and lead design teams on technically demanding projects.
- Strong grasp of sustainable design principles applicable to academic settings.
