• Lead client meetings to discuss financial results, business performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide practical advice on cash flow, working capital, forecasts and financial projections.
• Review management accounts and interpret key figures to help clients make informed commercial decisions.
• Support clients with technical accounting matters and liaise with other specialist teams where appropriate.
• Plan and allocate work, monitor deadlines and maintain high standards across the team.
• Coach and review the work of junior colleagues, supporting their training and development.
• Manage assignment budgets, fees and recoverability.
• Build strong client relationships and help identify opportunities for additional services.

Experience and qualifications

• ACA, or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience with substantial practice experience.
• Strong background in an accountancy practice, including statutory accounts preparation and review.
• Experience managing client relationships and overseeing multiple assignments.
• Sound knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial reporting.
• Confidence discussing financial information and offering practical business advice.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues.
• Exposure to group accounts, consolidations, management accounts or cash flow forecasting would be beneficial.
• Organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing competing deadlines.

Benefits

• Salary of £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience.
• Flexible working policy, with arrangements subject to agreement.
• Birthday day off, plus the option to buy or sell holiday.
• Company pension scheme.
• Life assurance worth four times annual salary.
• Employee assistance programme and 24/7 access to a GP.
• Eye care and flu vaccinations.
• Optional private medical insurance, dental insurance and other health cover.
• Enhanced maternity, adoption and paternity leave, subject to qualifying service.
• Employee discounts and wellbeing initiatives.
• Cycle to work and electric vehicle schemes, subject to eligibility.
• Study support where applicable and ongoing opportunities for professional development.

Company culture

You'll join an established practice with a broad range of clients and access to specialist accounting, tax and advisory expertise.

The environment combines the resources of a larger organisation with the opportunity to build lasting client relationships and have a genuine impact on the local team.

You'll be encouraged to take ownership of your portfolio, support less experienced colleagues and develop your technical and commercial skills while working alongside experienced senior professionals.
