Accounts Manager

Clark Wood are working with an established independent firm of chartered accountants in Redditch who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager / Client Manager.
This is a varied practice role with responsibility for managing your own portfolio of SME clients and acting as a key point of contact.
The Role

• Manage a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Prepare and review statutory and management accounts
• Prepare and review tax computations and returns
• Deal directly with clients and handle queries
• Review work completed by junior members of the team
• Support junior staff with their development
• Assist with billing, workflow and general team management
• Get involved in ad hoc client work and projects

About You

• ACA / ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
• Strong general practice background
• Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Confident dealing directly with clients
• Experience reviewing accounts and supporting junior staff
• Good technical knowledge and strong communication skills
