Our client is looking for an aspiring and analytical Actuarial Assistant to support their actuarial team in Reading . Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of data for actuarial models and analyses.
- Perform routine calculations for pricing, reserving, and financial projections under supervision.
- Support the actuarial team in the development and maintenance of actuarial models.
- Help prepare reports and presentations summarizing actuarial findings.
- Conduct research on industry trends and regulatory changes relevant to actuarial practice.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and methodologies used.
Requirements
- A strong academic background, ideally with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Demonstrated aptitude for mathematics and analytical thinking.
- Familiarity with basic statistical concepts and data analysis principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an eagerness to learn statistical software packages.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to pursuing actuarial qualifications (e.g., FSR).
