Adventure Sports Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Adventure Sports Coordinator to manage and develop a range of outdoor and adventure activities based near Plymouth . This role requires an individual with a passion for the outdoors and a strong understanding of risk management to ensure safe, exciting, and memorable experiences for participants. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading activities such as kayaking, climbing, and orienteering, ensuring all equipment is maintained and all operations meet stringent safety standards, contributing to the region's reputation as a hub for outdoor pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead a variety of adventure sports activities for groups of varying ages and abilities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by implementing and adhering to strict safety protocols and risk assessments.
• Manage and maintain all adventure sports equipment, ensuring it is in excellent condition and fit for purpose.
• Develop new activity programs and trails to enhance the offering and attract new participants.
• Liaise with suppliers and external providers to source necessary equipment and services.
• Deliver high-quality instruction and guidance to participants, fostering enthusiasm and skill development.

Requirements

• Experience in delivering and coordinating adventure sports activities.
• Relevant NGB qualifications (e.g., Mountain Leader, British Canoeing Instructor, RYA).
• Strong knowledge of risk management and outdoor safety procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• First Aid certification (e.g., Outdoor First Aid).
