About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Glasgow . This role is crucial for optimizing production processes, ensuring the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of aerospace components. You will work closely with production, quality, and design teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
• Design and procure tooling and fixtures required for production.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Requirements

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering .
• Strong understanding of machining, assembly, and composite manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing process simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills required for on-site operations in Glasgow .
