About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes and enhance efficiency at their facility in Derby . This role is vital in ensuring that the manufacturing of aerospace components and assemblies meets stringent quality, cost, and timeline objectives. You will work with state-of-the-art technologies and materials, applying engineering principles to improve manufacturing methods, reduce waste, and ensure the highest standards of product quality demanded by the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Oversee the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
• Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100) and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally within the aerospace sector.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and production planning tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment in Derbyshire .
