About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Aerospace Quality Inspector to join their facility in Edinburgh . This role is vital for ensuring that all manufactured aerospace components and assemblies meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will conduct thorough inspections, verify compliance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes. Working within a hybrid model, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and compliance teams to uphold the integrity and safety of aviation products. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products using precision measuring instruments.
• Verify that manufactured parts and assemblies conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Document inspection results accurately, report non-conformances, and initiate corrective action processes.
• Participate in internal audits and support external regulatory audits for quality compliance.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventative measures.
• Maintain calibration records for all inspection equipment and ensure its readiness for use.

Requirements

• Experience as a Quality Inspector, preferably within the aerospace or a related high-specification manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in using a variety of precision measuring and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
