About the Role

Our client, a distinguished name in the aerospace manufacturing sector, is seeking an accomplished Aerospace Structures Engineer to join their advanced engineering team in Plymouth . This role is integral to the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft structural components and systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability. Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze primary and secondary aircraft structures, ensuring compliance with stringent aerospace standards (e.g., EASA, FAA).
• Perform detailed stress analysis and fatigue life calculations using FEA software (e.g., NASTRAN, PATRAN).
• Develop and validate structural test plans, oversee testing, and interpret test results to verify design integrity.
• Collaborate with the design team to optimize structures for weight reduction, strength, and manufacturability.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, analysis summaries, and test procedures.
• Support manufacturing engineers in resolving structural assembly and integration issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace structural design and analysis .
• Proficiency in FEA software and a strong understanding of aerospace materials and composites.
• Experience with aircraft structural testing and validation methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment in Plymouth .
