About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Aerospace Structures Engineer to join their innovative engineering team in Bradford . This role is crucial for the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft structural components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and durability. You will work on challenging projects, utilizing advanced simulation and analytical techniques to solve complex structural problems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and validate aircraft structural components and assemblies using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
- Develop technical drawings, specifications, and reports for structural designs, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
- Conduct stress analysis, fatigue analysis, and fracture mechanics assessments for primary and secondary aircraft structures.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production and support assembly processes.
- Participate in structural testing activities, including the planning, execution, and reporting of static and dynamic tests.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of structural design processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in aerospace structures design and analysis .
- Proficiency in FEA software (e.g., NASTRAN, ANSYS) and CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of composite and metallic materials used in aerospace applications.
- Knowledge of aerospace structural testing procedures and standards.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
