About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable After School Club Assistant to support their team in Edinburgh . This role involves providing a safe, engaging, and fun environment for primary school-aged children after school hours. You will assist in organizing and facilitating a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, and homework support, ensuring the children have a positive and enriching experience. This is an ideal part-time opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and contributing to their out-of-school development within the Scotland region.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision and care of primary school-aged children during after-school hours.
• Help plan and deliver a range of engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, adhering to club policies and procedures.
• Support children with homework and provide encouragement.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the club area and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and the club supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is desirable.
• An interest in child development and recreational activities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
