About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and energetic After School Club Assistant to support their program in Bristol . You will assist in providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for primary school-aged children after school hours. This role involves supervising children, organising recreational activities, preparing light snacks, and ensuring the well-being of all attendees. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise children aged 5-11 in a safe and engaging after-school environment.
• Organise and lead a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational, creative, and educational activities.
• Prepare and serve healthy snacks and light refreshments for the children.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, responding to their needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the club area, including activity spaces and snack preparation areas.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's attendance and any relevant information.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
• A passion for working with children and supporting their development and enjoyment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health and safety practices in a childcare setting is essential.
