After-School Club Leader

About the Role

Our client is looking for an energetic and organized After-School Club Leader to manage and run their popular after-school program in Nottingham . This role is perfect for someone passionate about providing a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for primary school-aged children after school hours. You will be responsible for planning activities, supervising children, ensuring their well-being, and liaising with parents and school staff. The successful candidate will be a positive role model, able to manage a team of assistants and ensure the smooth operation of the club, contributing to the children's enjoyment and development outside of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead a range of engaging and age-appropriate activities for children aged 5-11.
• Ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of all children attending the club at all times.
• Supervise and support the after-school club assistants and volunteers.
• Manage daily registers, snacks, and ensure the club environment is clean and welcoming.
• Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and management regarding children's progress and any concerns.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with primary school-aged children, preferably in a play or childcare setting.
• Relevant qualification in childcare, playwork, or education is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage children in various activities.
