Agile Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Agile Project Manager to join their innovative team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for driving the successful delivery of software development projects using Agile methodologies. You will facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Agile principles and possess a strong ability to remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Agile development teams in the adoption and execution of Agile principles.
• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder team progress and productivity.
• Manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables within an Agile framework.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure clear product backlogs and sprint goals.
• Track and report on team velocity, project progress, and key Agile metrics.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification is preferred.
