About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Agricultural Equipment Operator to work on their farm in Sheffield . This role is essential for performing a wide range of tasks including ploughing, planting, harvesting, and general farm maintenance using various types of agricultural machinery. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tractors, combines, and other specialized equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining equipment in excellent working condition, ensuring the smooth execution of farm operations throughout the growing season.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractors, combines, sprayers, and other agricultural machinery safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on farm equipment.
• Execute tasks such as ploughing, sowing, fertilizing, and harvesting according to farm plans.
• Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and operating procedures.
• Assist with general farm duties as required, including fencing and infrastructure maintenance.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Agricultural Equipment Operator or a similar role.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining a variety of farm machinery.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Understanding of basic mechanical principles and ability to perform minor repairs.
• Ability to work long hours during peak seasons and in varying weather conditions.
