About the Role

Our client is looking for a proficient Agricultural Equipment Technician to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of farm machinery and equipment at their operations near Belfast . This hands-on role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of tractors, harvesters, implements, and other vital machinery. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, performing repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, practical experience with agricultural machinery, and a commitment to quality workmanship in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on a wide range of agricultural equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and servicing on tractors, combines, plows, and other farm machinery.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide repair processes.
• Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring proper care of tools and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with agricultural machinery.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in various weather conditions.
