About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Agricultural Technician to support their innovative farming operations based near Belfast . This role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of agricultural processes, from cultivation to harvest, and maintaining the state-of-the-art equipment used on the farm. You will work closely with the farm management team, assisting in data collection, implementing farming techniques, and operating machinery. The ideal candidate will have a practical understanding of modern farming methods, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to contributing to efficient and sustainable agricultural production in Northern Ireland .

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a variety of farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and sprayers.
• Assist in the implementation of crop management plans, including planting, fertilizing, and pest control.
• Conduct regular checks on irrigation systems and make necessary adjustments.
• Collect data on crop growth, yields, and environmental conditions for analysis.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment.
• Adhere to strict health and safety procedures in all farm activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience working on a commercial farm or in an agricultural setting.
• Knowledge of basic crop science and agricultural practices.
• Competency in operating farm machinery and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of agricultural technology is a plus.
