About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agricultural Estate Manager to oversee the comprehensive management of a diverse agricultural estate located near Birmingham . This role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, and financial management across various agricultural enterprises, including arable farming, livestock, and potentially woodland. You will be instrumental in driving productivity, implementing innovative farming techniques, and ensuring the estate operates efficiently and profitably while adhering to best practices in land stewardship and environmental sustainability. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for crop rotation, livestock management, and land utilization to optimize yield and profitability.
• Manage all day-to-day operations, including staffing, machinery maintenance, and supply chain logistics.
• Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and investment planning for the estate.
• Ensure compliance with all agricultural, environmental, and health and safety regulations.
• Implement and monitor modern agricultural technologies and sustainable farming practices.
• Lead and motivate a team of farm workers, agronomists, and support staff.

Requirements

• Degree in Agriculture, Estate Management, or a related agricultural science discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in managing large-scale agricultural operations or estates.
• Strong understanding of crop science, animal husbandry, and soil health management .
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning and performance management within the agricultural sector.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with UK agricultural policies and environmental regulations.
