About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Agricultural Estate Manager to oversee a significant agricultural estate located in the vicinity of Birmingham . This role is critical for managing diverse farming operations, including crop production, livestock management, and land stewardship, with a focus on maximizing yield and profitability while adhering to sustainable farming practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of modern agricultural techniques, and the ability to manage a diverse team and complex operations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for crop cultivation, livestock husbandry, and land development to optimize production and resource utilization.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the estate, including machinery maintenance, pest and disease control, and irrigation management.
• Manage a team of farm workers and specialists, ensuring efficient task allocation, performance monitoring, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Monitor market trends, manage budgets, and control expenditures to ensure the financial viability of the estate operations.
• Implement and maintain sustainable agricultural practices, including soil conservation, water management, and biodiversity enhancement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations, environmental standards, and food safety protocols.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in agricultural management , with a proven track record in crop production and/or livestock management.
• Strong knowledge of modern farming techniques, agricultural technology, and environmental stewardship principles.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Experience in financial management, budgeting, and cost control within an agricultural context.
• A degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Estate Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in farm management software and relevant agricultural technologies.
