About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and dedicated Agricultural Technician to join their team in Sunderland . Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of agricultural machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in farm equipment.
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently as required for specific farming tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair work, and parts inventory.
• Assist with the setup and calibration of new equipment and technology.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations on the farm.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Agricultural Technician or a similar mechanical role.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to farm machinery.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining agricultural equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and engine repair.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an outdoor, often challenging, environment.
• Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in mechanics or agriculture is preferred.
