About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair various domestic appliances, including washing machines, refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing to prolong the lifespan of appliances.
• Replace faulty components and ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the vehicle and at customer premises.
• Accurately record details of work undertaken, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Provide clear explanations to customers about the issues and the work carried out.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations during work operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Appliance Repair Technician or in a similar repair-focused role.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair common faults across various appliance brands.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical principles related to appliance operation.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to the trade.
• Excellent customer service skills and a polite, professional demeanour.
• Ability to manage your own schedule and work efficiently in a mobile capacity.
• A valid UK driving license and a clean driving record are essential for travel within the Sunderland area.
