Agricultural Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Agricultural Technician to support their farming operations based in Bradford . You will be involved in the day-to-day practical aspects of crop cultivation, livestock management, and the operation of agricultural machinery. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and effective running of the farm, contributing directly to the quality and yield of produce. You will work closely with the farm manager and other team members, gaining valuable experience across various agricultural disciplines. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops according to planned schedules.
• Operate and maintain agricultural machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and sprayers.
• Monitor crop health and identify pests or diseases, reporting findings to the farm manager.
• Participate in livestock care, including feeding, watering, and general welfare.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and facilities.
• Assist with record-keeping for crop yields, inputs, and farm activities.

Requirements

• Experience in a farming or agricultural setting is essential.
• Basic knowledge of crop production and livestock management.
• Ability to operate basic agricultural machinery and a willingness to learn.
