About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Agricultural Technician to join their progressive farming operation near Newcastle upon Tyne . This role involves supporting the day-to-day technical operations on the farm, ensuring all machinery and equipment function optimally. You will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of cultivation and productivity required in modern agriculture. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a variety of agricultural machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and sprayers.
• Perform routine checks and minor repairs on farm equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Assist with planting, cultivation, and harvesting activities as directed by farm management.
• Monitor crop health and assist with the application of fertilizers and pesticides safely.
• Keep accurate records of machinery usage, maintenance, and repairs.
• Ensure a safe working environment in compliance with all health and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in an agricultural or engineering environment.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining agricultural machinery.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving license is essential; specific agricultural machinery certifications are a plus.
