About the Role
Our client is seeking a forward-thinking AI Ethicist & Policy Advisor to join their pioneering AI & Emerging Technologies team, operating in a fully remote capacity. This crucial role focuses on guiding the responsible development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies. You will be instrumental in shaping ethical guidelines, developing robust governance frameworks, and advising internal teams on navigating the complex ethical and societal implications of AI. Working remotely, you will collaborate with legal, engineering, and product stakeholders globally, ensuring our AI initiatives align with the highest ethical standards and contribute to building trust and accountability in AI systems, fostering a culture of responsible innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine organizational policies and ethical guidelines for AI development and deployment.
- Conduct ethical reviews and risk assessments for new AI projects and data usage.
- Advise teams on best practices for fairness, transparency, accountability, and privacy in AI.
- Monitor global AI policy and regulatory developments, providing strategic recommendations.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops on AI ethics for internal and external audiences.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Public Policy, or a related field with a focus on technology.
- 3+ years of experience in AI ethics, responsible technology, or technology policy.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML principles and their societal impact.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills, adept at articulating complex ethical issues.
- Experience working collaboratively in a remote or distributed team environment is essential.
