AI Ethics & Governance Lead

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking AI Ethics & Governance Lead to establish and drive ethical AI practices across the organization, operating in a fully remote capacity. This pivotal role will be responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing robust governance frameworks that ensure AI technologies are developed and deployed responsibly, fairly, and transparently. You will collaborate closely with legal, compliance, engineering, and product teams to navigate the complex ethical landscape of AI, mitigating risks and fostering a culture of trust and accountability. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive AI governance strategy and policy framework.
• Establish processes for ethical review, risk assessment, and impact analysis of AI systems.
• Provide expert guidance on data privacy, algorithmic bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and ethical standards.
• Develop and deliver training and awareness programs on AI ethics and responsible innovation.
• Monitor industry best practices and evolving regulatory landscapes related to AI ethics.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Law, Public Policy, Ethics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology governance, risk management, or AI ethics.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML principles and their ethical, legal, and societal implications.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks and policies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across diverse teams and functions in a remote setting.
