About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic AI Ethics & Governance Lead to join their forward-thinking team in Oxford . You will establish frameworks, policies, and best practices to mitigate risks and promote fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI systems. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics and governance frameworks and policies.
• Conduct ethical impact assessments and risk analyses for AI projects.
• Provide expert guidance on ethical AI principles and regulatory compliance to stakeholders.
• Monitor AI systems for potential biases and ensure adherence to fairness and transparency standards.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and engineering teams to embed ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Ethics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on AI ethics.
• 5+ years of experience in AI ethics, governance, or a related compliance role.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and their ethical, legal, and societal implications.
• Experience in developing policy and implementing governance frameworks.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
