About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and principled AI Ethics & Governance Lead to join their fully remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing and upholding ethical guidelines and governance frameworks for the development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies. You will work to ensure that our AI systems are fair, transparent, accountable, and aligned with societal values and regulatory requirements. This position is essential for building trust and fostering responsible innovation in AI, offering a unique opportunity to shape the ethical landscape of AI development from a strategic, remote-first perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies, principles, and best practices across the organization.
- Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for AI projects and products.
- Establish and manage AI governance processes, including oversight, auditing, and compliance monitoring.
- Collaborate with legal, policy, engineering, and product teams to integrate ethical considerations into the AI development lifecycle.
- Stay current with evolving AI regulations, ethical standards, and industry best practices globally.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Law, Ethics, Public Policy, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, data governance, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, and their societal implications.
- Proven ability to develop policy frameworks and implement governance structures.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
