About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated AI Ethics and Governance Specialist to join their team in Southampton . This vital role will focus on ensuring that the development and deployment of AI technologies are conducted responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with relevant regulations. You will play a key part in establishing and implementing frameworks for AI governance, risk assessment, and bias mitigation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of AI principles, ethical considerations, and relevant legal/regulatory landscapes, helping to build trust and accountability in AI systems within the Hampshire region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures for ethical AI development and deployment.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments and bias audits for AI systems and models.
• Advise project teams on best practices for responsible AI, fairness, transparency, and accountability.
• Stay informed about evolving AI regulations, industry standards, and ethical frameworks globally.

Requirements

• Degree in Law, Ethics, Computer Science, Policy, or a related field.
• Proven experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology governance.
