About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated AI Ethics and Governance Specialist to join their pioneering team, operating in a fully remote capacity. As the use of AI expands, ensuring its responsible and ethical deployment is paramount. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing policies, frameworks, and guidelines to ensure our AI systems are fair, transparent, accountable, and aligned with societal values. You will work across various departments to embed ethical considerations into the AI lifecycle, contributing to building trust and mitigating risks associated with artificial intelligence. This is a crucial role for ensuring the responsible advancement of AI technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive AI ethics policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Conduct ethical risk assessments for new and existing AI systems and algorithms.
- Provide guidance and training to development teams on ethical AI practices and compliance requirements.
- Monitor AI systems for potential biases, fairness issues, and other ethical concerns, recommending mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed about evolving AI regulations, ethical debates, and best practices globally.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field such as Ethics, Law, Computer Science, Public Policy, or Philosophy.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology governance.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their societal implications.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex ethical and technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
