About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced AI Platform Engineer to join their innovative team in Derby, Derbyshire, UK . This role is central to building and maintaining the robust infrastructure that powers our client's artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and managing scalable platforms, tools, and services that enable data scientists and ML engineers to efficiently develop, train, and deploy models. Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable AI/ML infrastructure, including data pipelines, compute clusters, and model serving systems.
Implement and manage MLOps practices, automating workflows for model training, deployment, monitoring, and versioning.
Develop tools and services to streamline the ML development lifecycle for data scientists and engineers.
Ensure the performance, security, and cost-efficiency of the AI platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide effective platform solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Proven experience in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering, with a focus on AI/ML platforms.
Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated AI/ML services.
Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and data processing tools.
