About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced AI Platform Engineer to join their dynamic technology team in Edinburgh . This role is central to building and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that empower our data scientists and machine learning engineers to develop and deploy AI models efficiently and effectively. You will focus on creating scalable, reliable, and performant platforms that support the entire AI lifecycle, from data ingestion and processing to model training, deployment, and monitoring. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust AI/ML platforms and infrastructure.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models and applications.
- Implement and optimize tools for data management, feature engineering, and model training.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of AI infrastructure.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand their needs and provide platform solutions.
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps, with a focus on MLOps or AI platforms.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Understanding of machine learning workflows and lifecycle management.
