About the Role
Our client is recruiting for a highly skilled and vigilant Air Traffic Controller to manage and direct air traffic safely and efficiently at a major aviation hub near Manchester . Key Responsibilities
- Control and direct aircraft movements in assigned airspace, ensuring separation standards are maintained.
- Monitor radar displays, communication equipment, and flight progress strips to track aircraft.
- Communicate crucial information to pilots, including weather, runway conditions, and traffic advisories.
- Manage emergency situations effectively, coordinating with emergency services and other relevant authorities.
- Provide clearances and instructions to aircraft for take-off, landing, and en-route phases.
- Collaborate with controllers in adjacent sectors to ensure smooth transitions of aircraft.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid Air Traffic Controller license issued by the relevant aviation authority.
- Proven experience in controlling live air traffic in a busy terminal or en-route environment.
- Thorough understanding of aviation regulations, procedures, and phraseology.
- Excellent situational awareness, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and perform effectively under high-pressure conditions.
