This role is crucial for the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electronic systems found in modern aircraft. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate avionics systems, including communication, navigation, surveillance, and flight control systems.
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of complex avionics hardware and software issues.
- Conduct system testing and calibration to ensure optimal performance and compliance with aviation standards.
- Collaborate with aircraft manufacturers and other engineering disciplines to define avionics requirements and solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all avionics modifications, repairs, and testing activities.
- Stay current with technological advancements in avionics and propose improvements to existing systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience working as an Avionics Engineer in the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Strong knowledge of avionic systems, including GPS, INS, radar, autopilot, and communication radios.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting avionics schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Experience with avionics testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail for work in Staffordshire .
