About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and meticulous Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their engineering team in Glasgow . This hands-on role is essential for maintaining and repairing the complex electronic systems that are vital for modern aircraft operation. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of navigation, communication, flight control, and other avionic systems, adhering to the highest safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of aircraft avionic systems, including navigation, communication, radar, and flight management systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to diagnose and resolve system faults.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and functional tests to ensure compliance with airworthiness directives and company procedures.
• Document all maintenance and repair actions accurately in the aircraft logbooks and maintenance records.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure seamless integration and functionality of all aircraft electronic systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper handling and storage of tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician or in a similar role within the aviation industry.
• Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., EASA Part-66 AML with Avionics modules) is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, digital communication protocols, and troubleshooting techniques for avionic components.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation and schematics.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential shift work and weekends, as required by operational demands.
